A reimagining of the Cinderella story, this novel follows Sophie Beckett, the daughter of an earl who has been relegated to the role of a servant by her cruel stepmother. One night, she manages to sneak into Lady Bridgerton’s famous masquerade ball, where she meets Benedict Bridgerton, the second of the siblings. Though they share a magical connection, Sophie must flee at midnight, leaving Benedict obsessed with finding the mysterious woman in silver.
