Mary Lennox is a lonely and sour girl who is sent to live in her uncle’s large, gloomy house in Yorkshire. While exploring the grounds, she discovers a hidden, locked garden that has been forgotten for years. With the help of a local boy named Dickon and her cousin Colin, Mary starts to take care of the plants and flowers. As the garden begins to bloom and grow beautiful again, the children also find friendship and health, learning that kindness and nature can heal even the saddest hearts.
