When the Swedish Minister of Justice disappears, detective Fabian Risk begins an investigation, despite the prohibitions. A brutally murdered woman found in Copenhagen brings him together with investigator Dunja Hougard. Both officers are drawn into a gruesome game of killers, in which, amid a raging blizzard, they must piece together a macabre puzzle of death.
