Faycán. Memoirs of a Vagabond Dog is a short novel written by Víctor Doreste, first published in 1938. The story follows Faycán, a stray dog in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, who reflects on his life and identity as he nears death. Guided by an old dog named Cicero, Faycán learns that he descends from the legendary bronze dogs who resisted the Spanish conquest.
