Greg Heffley is having a run of bad luck. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has a new girlfriend and doesn’t have time to hang out anymore. Now that he is all alone at school, Greg decides to take a chance and let a Magic 8-Ball make all his decisions for him. He hopes this will change his luck and make his life easier, but things quickly get even more chaotic and funny. It is a hilarious story about the ups and downs of friendship and what happens when you try to leave your future to chance.
