As part of the diploma work, we learned about the process of constructing a hood and a substructure for extracting emissions from foundry tools during high-pressure casting of aluminum alloys.
First, we described the field of work and defined the problem. The aim of the thesis was to improve the extraction of emissions released during the coating of foundry tools.
We presented a company that manufactures hoods and sells oil and lubricants, and then focused on the extraction system for high-pressure casting. We drew attention to its importance for the health of production workers.
We have described the devices available on the market and the operation of the filter unit. We highlighted the importance of the filter cassette and indicated for which type of suction it is used.
