Romeo and Juliet is set in Verona, where two rival families, the Montagues and the Capulets, are in constant conflict. Romeo and Juliet meet at a party and fall in love, despite being from enemy families. With the help of Friar Laurence, they secretly marry, hoping to end the feud.
However, after a violent fight, Romeo is forced to leave the city. Juliet is then pressured to marry another man, so she and Friar Laurence create a risky plan to be together again. In the end, their story leads to a change in the relationship between the two families, bringing their long conflict to an end.
