Sofia isn’t dreaming when she sees the silhouette of a giant in a long black cloak behind the window. It’s the Hour of Shadows, and a giant hand plucks her from her bed and transports her to the Land of Giants. How will they eat it, raw, cooked or fried? Luckily, the Great Gentle Giant, the BFG, is a vegetarian and eats only cucumbers; unlike his dreadful colleagues, the Viva-Sucker or the Gut-Sucker, who gorge themselves every night on humans, well, humans. To stop them, Sofia and the BFG devise an extraordinary plan involving none other than the Queen of England.
