In the inaugural week of June 2024, the JUMP Team conducted a training course for educators on the creation of book trailers for our distinctive platform.
We are now presenting the book trailer created by one of our Polish colleagues, Evija Dzvinko. We will examine the content of the book and consider the results of her collaboration with other educators from Europe.
Furthermore, before we look at the book trailer, let’s read some information about this wonderfully ingenious book, which is primarily written for children.

The plot in summary

The illustrated book entitled “Lilallā un viņas pigoriņi” is a charming and whimsical publication that engages readers with its warm narrative style and imaginative content. The book comprises fifteen captivating narratives concerning the visits of the author’s grandchildren to the elderly lady, Lilla. Each narrative examines the delightful adventures and interactions between Lilla and her endearing visitors.
Furthermore, the sibling pair is particularly keen to meet Lilla, whose distinctive abilities imbue their visits with a touch of enchantment. Lilla astonishes her companions with her capacity to brew a potent soporific concoction, engages in spirited soccer matches with the bouncing goat, Iris, and engages in contemplative discourse on the subject of theatre with the erudite hedgehog, Hopkins.
This heartwarming book, written for children, offers a unique perspective on everyday life, combining whimsy with valuable life lessons. By means of Lilla’s appealing narratives, readers are encouraged to perceive the world in a manner that is characterised by creativity and astonishment, thereby enhancing their understanding of the ordinary.
The book trailer was created as part of a structured course provided by JUMP ACADEMY Professional Training, which is based in the city of Soverato on the Ionian coast. The teachers, hailing from disparate countries, engaged in the exchange of ideas pertaining to their shared passion for books and reading. In addition to this, they acquired the skills associated with video production, thereby augmenting their toolbox of competencies. The participants were able to readily apply their newly acquired skills to transform the narrative of a selected literary work into a concise video presentation, commonly referred to as a “book trailer.”
Please enjoy viewing some of the images from this experience, as well as the final product! 🙂
