Die Welle

Based on a true story, “Die Welle” follows a history teacher who starts a social experiment to show his students how easily people can be controlled. He creates a group with strict rules and a special salute, but the experiment quickly grows out of control. The students become aggressive and stop thinking for themselves, starting to bully anyone who doesn’t join them. It is a powerful story that teaches young readers the importance of individual freedom and why we should always question those in power.
