The story takes place in the year 2033, after a nuclear war has destroyed the world. The Earth’s surface is now a dangerous wasteland, so the last survivors live in the Moscow Metro, a giant underground train system. The main character is a young man named Artyom. He must leave his home station and travel through the dark and scary tunnels to save his people from a new and mysterious danger. It is a story about survival, fear, and the future of humanity.
