Una barca nel bosco

The book tells the story of Gaspare Torrente, a boy from a small village who loves studying. He has to leave his home to live in industrial Turin with his aunt, but he feels different from the other students. While others are not interested in learning, he studies very hard. The novel shows his loneliness, his passion for knowledge, and the difficulties of growing up.
