Thirty-six writers write about Smyrna of imagination and memory… lost in flames, about the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the drama of the refugees, among them the journalist of Evros, author Sotiria Maragkozaki.
This is a collective volume in which the authors participated voluntarily, published as part of commemorative tributes for the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, as well as the arrival of 1.5 million refugees in Greece.
Many of them are descendants of refugee families, and through their narratives, they revive life in Asia Minor in the early 20th century and the dramatic consequences of the collapse of the Asia Minor front in 1922 for the Greek community.
