Here we publish a beautiful article written by the young and, already, very professional
Zoé Laczkovszki, online trainee during all the summer 2024 with JUMP.
Zoè participated in May in a mobility for students with her school in Hungary and spent a week learning on environmental protection, culture, literacy acquiring new importance competences. During this time she discovered JUMP and the project “EU-READ&ART” with the workshop “Let’s Book Trailers”. Zoè afterwards participated to a follow up meeting online and accepted the proposal to remain in contact and go on learning mentored by the coordinator, Mrs Erika Gerardini, trainer and responsible for Erasmus projects for JUMP.
Here her first report of the experience in the middle of the summer. We can say from now that she did great and she’s ready, after the diploma, to go to university and work at the same time. Zoè has all capacities to work in team, she’s high level digitally skilled and speaks a very good English to work internationally everywhere she wants. Congratulations Zoè! 18 years old, you have all the future ahead!
Is it really that simple? Since I was a little kid, I have not been particularly enthusiastic about new experiences. I only embraced what I considered “risky” experiences when I was obliged to. So far, I have stuck to this habit, but something unexpected happened… I would like to tell you about it.

In May 2024, we had the opportunity to develop our professional skills on a trip to the glamorous town of Soverato in Calabria, Italy. Although I was initially skeptical about the experience, I ended up departing with gratitude toward the enchanting town and the JUMP Team. The daily internship programs have contributed significantly to my knowledge, both professionally and culturally. I particularly remember the direct and friendly attitude of the program organizers, which was a pleasant surprise.
After returning home, we stayed in touch with the JUMP Team online and were given the opportunity to gain online work experience, which I eagerly embraced. Erika Gerardini, as my mentor, taught me extensively about the EU-READ&ART platform. I learned how to upload book trailers to the platform, and I got an insight into the world of writing articles about trailers by authors I didn’t know.
I have always enjoyed the art of reading and writing, but this experience provided me with a new perspective on the beauty of literature. Although initially daunting, discovering and writing reviews of unfamiliar book trailers expanded my horizons. For instance, in children’s books, there is often profound and moving content hidden behind seemingly simple and humorous language.I never thought I would find the courage to try something like this.
However, I have no regrets at all about taking the plunge and exploring the deeper layers of creation. Through these experiences, I feel I have grown richer both personally and professionally.
